Marraffa awarded at ILTA 2025 in the SPMT category

We are proud to announce that Marraffa has been awarded at ILTA 2025 in the "SPMT – Self-Propelled Modular Transport" category. The event, held as part of the GIS (Italian Lifting and Exceptional Transport Days) in Piacenza, recognizes excellence in the exceptional transport and lifting market, recognizing values ​​such as technological development and professionalism.

This recognition truly recognizes the excellence of our work in the handling of two 1800 tonnes cantainer cranes, built within the port of Gioia Tauro (Reggio Calabria). This feat required ingenuity, precision, advanced engineering, and extraordinary operational capability.

The jury awarded Marraffa the prize with the following motivation: "The handling of two ship-to-shore harbor cranes—weighing approximately 1800 tonnes and 80 meters high—in the port of Gioia Tauro required Marraffa to implement complex programming using 80 SPMT axles combined with a system of transverse connecting beams and longitudinal distribution beams".
